Adolfo Sachsida favored for Ministry of Finance under Flávio Bolsonaro

Economist and lawyer Adolfo Sachsida is reportedly the preferred candidate of Jair Bolsonaro to lead the Ministry of Finance, should Flávio Bolsonaro be elected president of Brazil.

Sachsida currently coordinates the economic technical groups for Flávio Bolsonaro’s campaign, focusing on the formulation of the economic plan. His proposed strategy emphasizes fiscal consolidation through strict public expenditure cuts and spending controls, while rejecting the creation of new taxes.

If elected, Flávio Bolsonaro’s government plan includes reducing the number of ministries by at least ten, cutting commissioned positions, and implementing administrative reforms. The economic agenda also proposes reviewing tax, social security, and labor regulations, seeking primary surpluses, and resuming the National Privatization Program.
