Adompretur hosts first international tourism journalism forum

The Dominican Association of Tourism Press (Adompretur) has inaugurated the first international tourism journalism forum, titled ‘Voces del Caribe’ (Voices of the Caribbean). Held in Santo Domingo as part of the 30th Caribbean Tourism Fair, the event aims to strengthen regional communication and promote narratives centered on cultural identity and sustainable tourism.

The forum features journalists from Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, and Panama. Discussions focus on the evolution of journalism in the digital age, the impact of artificial intelligence, and the distinction between specialized tourism reporting and influencer content.

A key component of the agenda is the presentation of the ‘La Altagracia 2030’ strategic plan. This session addresses territorial planning, sustainable development, and the relationship between tourism expansion and local infrastructure, heritage, and environmental protection.
