Adonis Georgiadis addresses party attendance and Kythnos medical claims
Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis has addressed two separate controversies. First, he denied any friction with Defense Minister Nikos Dendias following Dendias's absence from the 52nd anniversary celebrations of the New Democracy party. Georgiadis stated he has only ever spoken well of Dendias and suggested that absences from party events are not necessarily indicative of conflict.
Separately, Georgiadis responded to allegations regarding a medical emergency on the island of Kythnos. Addressing claims that an inadequate ambulance contributed to the death of a 62-year-old man during a cardiac episode, the Minister asserted that media reports used a photo of a decommissioned vehicle rather than the one deployed. He maintained that the responding ambulance was properly serviced, arrived within 25 minutes, and was equipped with oxygen and a defibrillator.
