Adonis Georgiadis and Pavlos Polakis clash over Chania Hospital visit

Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis and SYRIZA MP Pavlos Polakis have engaged in a public dispute following Polakis’s visit to Chania Hospital. Georgiadis criticized the visit on social media, suggesting the MP went to the facility primarily to criticize the government. The Minister noted the low attendance at the meeting, remarking, “Look at the photos to understand how insignificant he is now, even in Chania, even in Health.”

Polakis rejected these claims, stating his visit was a scheduled meeting with the hospital’s medical union and administration to discuss staffing shortages and the degradation of hospital services. He emphasized that his purpose was to meet with healthcare professionals rather than to hold a political rally.
