Adonis Georgiadis attacks Greek government and PASOK over F‑35 dispute and poll criticism

Greek opposition figure Adonis Georgiadis led a sharp criticism of the ruling government, accusing it of mishandling the F‑35 fighter jet program and of granting a “white licence” to the United States without adequate benefits for Greece. The ELAS (Greek Left Alliance) issued a statement calling his claims about Turkey’s continued participation in the F‑35 programme “false” and opposing his suggestion that the White House is still negotiating the sale.

In a separate televised interview, Georgiadis also attacked Health Minister Nikos Androulaki and the leader of PASOK, charging that the party is aiming for a mere 3 % voter share and accusing Androulaki of delivering no concrete constitutional reform proposals. Georgiadis portrayed PASOK’s decline from 14 % to 10 % in polls as evidence of ineffective opposition.

Both interventions reflect Georgiadis’ broader strategy of confronting the government on defence policy and critiquing the opposition’s political relevance.
