Adonis Georgiadis criticizes ministers for missing New Democracy anniversary

Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis has criticized fellow ministers for their absence from the 52nd anniversary celebrations of the New Democracy party. In a social media post, Georgiadis expressed his surprise at colleagues who claimed they could not attend due to ‘ministerial obligations.’

Georgiadis contrasted their absence with his own schedule, noting that despite traveling to Karpathos for the inauguration of a new CT scanner and attending local ceremonies, he still returned to Athens to participate in the party event. He stated that the duty of party unity is forged through ‘common struggles and our common company’ rather than speeches.

Reports suggest the remarks may be directed at Defense Minister Nikos Dendias, who was reportedly in Venice for the ADRION initiative during the celebrations. The tension is framed within broader political context regarding potential leadership ambitions within the party.
