Adonis Georgiadis disputes cartoonist over wife’s radio program

Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis has entered a heated online dispute with cartoonist Stathis Stavropoulos regarding radio broadcasts hosted by Georgiadis’s wife, Eugenia Manolidou. The programs, aired on SKAI Radio alongside journalist Aris Portosalte, focus on Greek Mythology.

The conflict began after Stavropoulos published an article questioning Manolidou’s qualifications to analyze mythological topics. He further suggested that the radio station’s management selected her due to her perceived proximity to political power.

Georgiadis responded by accusing Stavropoulos of being a “misogynist” and “phallocrat,” arguing that the criticism is motivated solely by Manolidou’s marital connection to him. The Minister emphasized that the broadcasts feature contributions from distinguished university professors to ensure scientific accuracy and academic rigor.
