Adonis Georgiadis disputes claims over Greek digital health tools
Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis has issued a sharp rebuttal to Elias Mossialos, the director of LSE Health and former PASOK lawmaker, regarding the state of Greece’s digital healthcare infrastructure.
In an interview with Politico, Mossialos suggested that while Greece was a pioneer in electronic prescriptions during the 2010-2011 bailout reforms, the development of digital health tools has since stalled. Georgiadis dismissed these claims as ‘leftist propaganda,’ arguing that the digital systems remain functional and advanced.
The Minister encouraged citizens to use the ‘my health app’ to verify the continued availability of electronic health records, real-time access to medical tests, and online appointment booking, asserting that these tools serve as proof against the allegations.
