Adonis Georgiadis warns Alexis Tsipras of losing second-place polling status

Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis has criticized the political trajectory of Alexis Tsipras, suggesting that the former Prime Minister risks losing his position as the second-largest political force to PASOK.

Speaking to Action24, Georgiadis noted that while he previously predicted Tsipras would secure second place in recent polls, the leader of SYRIZA has made several political errors over the last two months that could change that outcome. Georgiadis cited the timing of Tsipras's appearance at the Thessaloniki International Fair, statements regarding the taxation of voting machines, and the phrase ‘either me or no one’ as examples of perceived arrogance.

The Minister also addressed a recent article by Thanasis Kartéros in which PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis was called a ‘fool,’ arguing that Tsipras failed to distance himself from the comment, which Georgiadis described as a ‘major political foul.’ Georgiadis concluded that the battle for second place remains open and that whoever finishes third will have effectively lost the political contest.
