Adora Magic City cruise ship arrives at Ha Long Bay

The Adora Magic City, a massive cruise ship originating from Shenzhen, China, arrived at the Ha Long International Cruise Port on August 19. This marks the first time the vessel has visited Ha Long Bay and signals a return of large-scale cruise ships to the region after a multi-year hiatus.

As the first large cruise ship built in China, the Adora Magic City features 16 decks, 2,125 guest rooms, and a maximum capacity of 5,246 passengers. The ship has a gross tonnage of 135,500, a length of 323.6 meters, and a width of 37.2 meters. It offers approximately 40,000 square meters of public space, including restaurants, shopping areas, performance stages, a water park, and various other entertainment facilities.

The arrival of nearly 4,500 passengers and crew members is expected to boost local tourism in Quang Ninh, as visitors explore regional landmarks and engage in local culinary and shopping experiences. The event is seen as an opportunity to expand international maritime connections for the province.
