Adra approves construction of new fire station

The Adra City Council has unanimously approved a collaboration agreement to establish a new fire station within the municipality. Under the agreement, the council will provide the necessary land, while the Poniente Almeriense Fire Prevention and Extinction Consortium will be responsible for drafting the technical project, executing construction, equipping the facilities, and managing the service.

Mayor Manuel Cortés described the move as a decisive step in fulfilling a long-standing local demand for a dedicated fire brigade. The new station is expected to improve response times for fires, accidents, and other emergencies, thereby increasing safety for residents and property.
