Adrano authorities seize 233 kg of untraceable produce

Authorities in Adrano have conducted coordinated operations to combat illegal commercial activities and ensure food safety. The State Police, alongside the Sicilian Regional Forestry Corps and Local Police, targeted street vendors selling produce without proper traceability.

During these inspections, two fruit and vegetable vendors were sanctioned. One vendor had 150 kilograms of produce seized, while the second had 83 kilograms of untraceable goods confiscated. Both individuals received administrative fines of 6,000 euros each. Additionally, the Local Police issued a fine for unauthorized sales on public land. The seized goods were assessed for human consumption suitability and subsequently donated to charity.
