Adrano Man Recaptured After Evading Therapeutic Community

Police in Adrano, Sicily, identified a 21‑year‑old man who had left a therapeutic community in Vizzini where he was serving a house‑arrest measure. The police stopped him on the street as he headed toward his family home, confirmed his identity, and detained him. He was then returned to the community to continue his rehabilitation program. The young man, who has prior convictions for family abuse and extortion, had previously been arrested after a violent family dispute and was placed under house arrest at the community as an alternative to prison custody.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Catania has been notified, and the suspect now faces charges for evasion while the presumption of innocence remains until a final verdict.
