Adrian Bott prepares Surfin’ Bird for Rosehill spring campaign

Co-trainer Adrian Bott is preparing Surfin’ Bird for the Golden Pendant at Rosehill. The five-year-old mare, who has five wins from nine starts including the Magic Millions National Classic, is expected to face a challenging 1400m race as she begins her campaign. Bott noted that while the distance is shorter than her preferred 1600m or more, her recent trials have been positive, with potential future targets in Melbourne.

Bott also highlighted stablemate New Endeavour, who is returning in the Shannon Stakes (1500m). After being out of action since last November, the gelding is expected to improve as he moves toward longer distances. Other Tulloch Lodge runners include Sovereign Hill and Plagiarism, who will compete in the $1 million Golden Rose.
