Slovak Darts Open debuts in Bratislava, drawing European Tour elite

The PDC European Tour made its first appearance in Slovakia with the Slovak Darts Open, held from 19‑21 June 2026 at Incheba Expo in Bratislava. Sixteen world‑ranked players and a quartet of Slovak qualifiers – Adrián Dudek, Juraj Holub, Ján Sliacky and Gabriel Varaljay – competed in the three‑day event.

Dudek produced a spectacular 150 checkout against England’s Dave Chisnall, forcing a deciding leg that Chisnall ultimately won 6‑5. The Slovak players were eliminated in the opening rounds, but their performances were praised by the crowd and by world champion Rob Cross, who noted it was the first time the tour had visited Slovakia.

The tournament was streamed live by the PDC, generating a viral highlight of Dudek’s checkout. Local fans gathered in large numbers, with a big screen set up in the village of Brehy for supporters to watch the matches. The event marked a historic milestone for darts in Slovakia, showcasing the sport to a new audience while confirming the country’s capability to host major darts competitions.
