Adrian Gorocica Rojas considers running for local deputy in 2027

Adrian Gorocica Rojas, a Morena councilman in Mérida, Yucatán, stated he is considering running for a local deputy position in the 2027 elections. He emphasized that party members do not need to belong to a political elite to secure representation, asserting that grassroots work and community engagement are the primary drivers for candidacy.

Gorocica noted that he has been increasingly active in the western part of the city, specifically in areas like Ciudad Caucel, due to requests from residents regarding local issues such as water leaks, potholes, lighting, and public spaces. He maintained that all members of the movement, including councilmen and street brigadiers, have the potential to aspire to legislative roles.
