Adrian Szymaniak returns home for 24-hour care amid glioblastoma battle
Adrian Szymaniak, a participant from the program ‘Married at First Sight’, has returned home following a period of hospitalization to receive 24-hour professional medical care. Since 2025, Szymaniak has been battling stage IV glioblastoma, a highly aggressive brain tumor. After undergoing surgeries, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, his family reported in July 2026 that the disease had recurred, leading to changes in his treatment plan.
His home has been modified with specialized medical and rehabilitative equipment to accommodate his needs. He is currently being monitored by a team of doctors, nurses, caregivers, and rehabilitators, alongside his wife, Anita Szydłowska, and other family members.
Family members expressed cautious optimism, noting slight improvements in his condition, including regained movement and speech. Szymaniak is continuing chemotherapy through both intravenous infusions and oral medication. The family noted that the high costs of this intensive care are being supported by an ongoing online fundraising campaign.
