Adriana faces imprisonment and courtroom battle in 'Quem Ama Cuida

In the Brazilian telenovela *Quem Ama Cuida*, protagonist Adriana (Letícia Colin) is arrested after Pilar (Isabel Teixeira) frames her for the murder of Arthur Brandão. Adriana endures harsh treatment and humiliation in prison, while her mother Elisa is seriously ill and her grandfather Otoniel visits her cell, expressing regret that he cannot trade places with her.

Pedro (Chay Suede), Adriana’s lover, works relentlessly to prove her innocence, discovering that her preventive detention was accelerated by his own father Ademir’s influence. On the day of the trial, the judge bars Pedro from defending her because he has been called as a prosecution witness, and the case is handed to lawyer Cléber. Testimony from characters such as Diná, Ulisses and Tom is presented, with the defense highlighting gaps in forensic evidence and questioning motives tied to inheritance. The storyline continues to focus on Adriana’s struggle for justice amid family conflicts and the scheming of Pilar.
