Adriana Meza Argaluza assumes presidency of Querétaro Congress

Adriana Elisa Meza Argaluza has assumed the Presidency of the Board of Directors of the LXI Legislature of the State of Querétaro. Her term is scheduled to run from October 2, 2026, to April 1, 2027.

The new Board of Directors includes Laura Andrea Tovar Saavedra as Vice President, Sully Yanira Mauricio Sixtos as Alternate Vice President, Mauricio Cárdenas Palacios as First Secretary, and Homero Barrera McDonald as Second Secretary.

During her inauguration, Meza Argaluza emphasized the need for teamwork, impartiality, and dialogue. She called on legislators to prioritize the interests of the citizens of Querétaro over partisan differences, stating that politics should serve the people and translate democracy into social justice. She also highlighted the importance of maintaining the Congress as a space for respectful debate and institutional rigor.
