Adriana Ugarte returns for ‘Sira’ series at San Sebastián Festival

At the San Sebastián Festival, Atresmedia presented ‘Sira’, a new series serving as a sequel to the acclaimed ‘El tiempo entre costuras’. The production, developed by Buendía Estudios, is scheduled to premiere next year on Atresplayer and subsequently on Antena 3.

Adriana Ugarte reprises her role as Sira, portraying a character who has evolved from a charismatic young woman into an autonomous professional working as both a journalist and a spy in the post-war era. Author María Dueñas, who serves as a creative executive producer, noted that the decision to expand the story was inspired by a return to Tangier.

The cast includes returning actors such as Rubén Cortada and Peter Vives, alongside new additions Cecilia Suárez and Jeremy Neumark Jones. The presentation also served as a moment of remembrance for the late actor Francesc Garrido.
