Adriana Vilagoš wins Mediterranean Games javelin gold

At the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, Italy, the women's javelin competition saw significant achievements from both Adriana Vilagoš and Yulenmis Aguilar.

Serbian athlete Adriana Vilagoš secured the gold medal with a decisive sixth-round throw of 65.93 metres. Her final attempt allowed her to overtake the field and claim the top position in the competition.

Yulenmis Aguilar earned the silver medal while setting a new Spanish national record. Her throw of 65.39 metres surpassed the previous record of 64.07 metres, which had been held since 2010, by 1.32 metres. This performance also marked a new personal best for Aguilar.
