Adriano Espaillat gains Brady PAC endorsement for re‑election
The Brady Political Action Committee, a group focused on electing leaders who support measures to curb gun violence in the United States, announced its endorsement of Congressman Adriano Espaillat (D‑NY‑13) for re‑election. The PAC praised Espaillat’s legislative record on public‑safety issues, noting his co‑sponsorship of the “Ghost‑Gun and Untraceable Firearms Act” (H.R. 4992) alongside Senator Richard Blumenthal and other lawmakers. The bill aims to close gaps that allow the manufacture and distribution of firearms assembled from kits or 3‑D‑printed parts without background checks. Espaillat also highlighted his work linking gun violence to domestic abuse, introducing the Gladys Ricart Resolution to address the connection between household violence and firearms.
The endorsement is intended to bolster Espaillat’s campaign ahead of the upcoming congressional race in New York’s 13th district.
