Adriano Jagušić nets first goal for Panathinaikos in 3-0 friendly win
Panathinaikos defeated Swiss side Grasshoppers 3‑0 in a pre‑season friendly, with 20‑year‑old Croatian forward Adriano Jagušić scoring the opening goal in the 48th minute. He received a pass from Davide Calabria about 30 metres from goal, drove into the box and finished from the edge of the six‑yard area.
The striker, who came on the field at the start of the second half, was substituted in the 59th minute. Panathinaikos added goals from Anass Zaroury and Vicente Taborda to complete the win. The match follows earlier summer victories over Helmond (4‑0) and Ajax (3‑1). Jagušić, previously of Slaven Belupo where he made 67 appearances with 16 goals and 10 assists, joined the Greek club on a transfer that earned Slaven roughly €5.2 million in fixed compensation, €0.8 million in bonuses and a 20 % future‑sale clause. Transfermarkt values him at about €5 million.
