Adriatic Sea maritime activities: Luxury cruising and unauthorized refueling reports

The luxury cruise ship Le Bougainville, operated by the French company PONANT, is currently conducting an eight-day 'Cities and splendours of the Adriatic' tour. The 131-meter vessel, which features a unique multisensory underwater salon called 'Blue Eye', recently docked near Bol on the island of Brač. The itinerary includes stops in Dubrovnik, Hvar, Rab, Pula, Piran, and Venice.

In a separate maritime incident near Tivat, the crew of the tourist excursion boat 'Budva I' reportedly displaced swimmers from a pier to refuel using diesel transferred from a delivery van. Witnesses reported that a small amount of fuel spilled into the sea during the process. Local residents have reported the incident to maritime authorities, noting that such improvised refueling is unauthorized and poses environmental and safety risks.
