Adriatica Scherma inaugurates new fencing facility in Civitanova Marche

Adriatica Scherma has officially inaugurated its new dedicated fencing facility in Civitanova Marche. The ceremony, attended by athletes, families, and local officials, featured multi-time world champion and former Undersecretary of State for Sport, Valentina Vezzali, as a guest of honor.

The new center is located in a repurposed industrial warehouse in the Civitanova Alta area. The facility includes two distinct spaces: one specifically designed for fencing and another dedicated to gentle and postural gymnastics. The project aims to provide a professional environment for current athletes while attracting new participants, ranging from children as young as five to adults.

During the event, Vezzali praised the passion and willpower behind the project, emphasizing the importance of providing children with a healthy and inclusive environment to grow. Local dignitaries in attendance included Mayor Fabrizio Ciarapica, Councilor Barbara Capponi, and Giovanni Battista Torresi, Vice President of CONI Marche.
