Adrián Beltré Inducted into Baseball Hall of Fame

On July 20, 2024, Cooperstown prepared for the official induction of Dominican great Adrián Beltré into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The ceremony the next day honored his 21‑season career, which included 3,166 hits, 477 home runs, five Gold Glove awards and a 93.5 career bWAR, placing him among the all‑time elite third basemen.

Beltré’s plaque ceremony highlighted his roots in the Dominican Republic and his final eight seasons with the Texas Rangers, with the inductee wearing a Rangers cap during the presentation. He was inducted alongside Joe Mauer, Todd Helton and manager Jim Leyland as part of the 2024 class, becoming the fifth player born in the Dominican Republic to enter the Hall.

Fourteen years after signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers at age 15, Beltré reflected on his early years in Santo Domingo, noting how Dominican professional league LIDOM shaped his talents. The event drew a sea of Dominican and Rangers flags, underscoring his lasting impact on baseball worldwide.
