Spain hosts diverse cultural festivals and political strategy meetings
Various cultural and political events are unfolding across Spain. In Albacete, the annual Feria has been marked by unusually high temperatures, reaching 40.7 degrees Celsius during the opening parade. The event also featured cultural showcases, such as the musical performances by the Fuente-Álamo Unión Musical at the provincial government's stand.
In the realm of bullfighting, several festivals reported significant results. In Valladolid, Manuel Diosleguarde won the prestigious San Pedro Regalado trophy for the best performance of the fair. Other notable bullfighting successes occurred in Tordesillas, Villacarrillo, and Bolaños de Calatrava, where Antonio Ferrera was carried out on shoulders during the town's first-ever nocturnal bullfight.
Politically, the end of the Albacete Fair coincides with a strategic period for Castilla-La Mancha. President Emiliano García-Page has convened his government for a three-day meeting in Santa Cruz de Mudela to prepare for the final year of the legislature and address regional challenges ahead of the 2027 elections.
