Adrián Fernández Disqualified from Six Moto3 Grand Prix Races for Engine Tampering
Spanish Moto3 rider Adrián Fernández of Leopard Racing was stripped of his results from six Grand Prix weekends after investigations uncovered unauthorized opening and tampering of the seals on two Honda engines (numbers 810 and 811). The first irregularity was detected after the French Grand Prix, and a second violation was found following the Italian Grand Prix. The FIM MotoGP Stewards ruled that the manipulated engines breached Moto3 technical regulations, resulting in disqualification from the Thailand, Brazil, United States, Spain, France and Catalonia races. Fernández was summoned to a hearing at the Hungarian Grand Prix, where he acknowledged the findings and retained the right to appeal the sanction. The penalty drops him from the championship leaders' group to the lower ranks.
