Adson leads Vasco da Gama in Copa Sul-Americana semifinals

Vasco da Gama forward Adson has emerged as a key figure in the club's Copa Sul-Americana campaign. Despite a scoring drought in the Campeonato Brasileiro since August 2024, Adson has become the team's top scorer in the international tournament.

In 10 matches, he has recorded five goals and three assists, making him the second player with the most goal involvements in the competition. His recent performance included scoring the decisive goal in a first-leg semifinal victory against Boca Juniors at the Bombonera stadium.

Adson was selected for the recent lineup by manager Pedro Emanuel due to the unavailability of Colidio, who could not be registered in time. The attacker noted the significance of scoring at the Bombonera while maintaining focus on the upcoming second leg of the semifinal.
