Aduana Stars defender hospitalized after pitch collapse

During a Ghana Premier League matchday 5 fixture, Aduana Stars defender Remember Adomako Boateng collapsed on the pitch. The 21-year-old right-back was stretchered off and rushed to the hospital for medical examination. While initial reports suggested he was stable, official statements regarding his specific condition have not yet been released by the club or the Ghana Football Association.

Despite the medical emergency, Aduana Stars secured a 2-1 comeback victory against Swedru All Blacks at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park. Swedru All Blacks took an early lead through William Danquah in the fourth minute, but Aduana's Stephen Amankona equalized in the 35th minute. After Swedru All Blacks were reduced to ten men following a red card for Zayat Bubakari, Amankona scored a second goal from a penalty in the 85th minute to seal the win.

Amankona’s performance earned him the NASCO Man of the Match award. The victory moves Aduana Stars to fourth in the league standings with 10 points.
