Adult education centers in Bergkamen and Rommerskirchen launch new semesters

Adult education centers in the Bergkamen and Rommerskirchen regions of Germany are launching their new semesters in September 2026.

VHS Bergkamen will begin its program on September 7, 2026, with a heavy emphasis on health and wellness under the motto ‘VHS macht gesünder’. The curriculum includes various yoga and meditation courses, as well as digital literacy training designed to help participants navigate a world increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence. Language courses in Spanish, Italian, and Dutch are also available.

In Rommerskirchen, the new program will be available exclusively online for the first time, rather than in paper format. The municipality continues to cooperate closely with the city of Dormagen to provide a wide range of courses. Notable offerings include long-running yoga sessions and full-body training programs. The semester also features an increase in online appointments to accommodate high-profile lecturers covering politics, philosophy, and science.
