Adult Swim announces January 2027 premiere for ‘Common Side Effects’ season 2

Adult Swim has announced that the second season of the Peabody Award-winning animated series ‘Common Side Effects’ will premiere on January 24, 2027. The announcement was made during a panel at New York Comic Con.

Produced by Bandera Entertainment and Green Street Pictures, the series is led by executive producers Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, alongside co-creators Joe Bennett and Steve Hely. The story follows Marshall and Frances, fugitives fleeing corrupt pharmaceutical executives and government agents after discovering a rare mushroom species capable of curing nearly any human illness.

Season 2 will continue the narrative following the events of the first season, exploring the aftermath of raids on mushroom cultivation sites and the various interests vying for control of the ‘Blue Angel’ mushroom. New episodes will broadcast weekly on Adult Swim and will be available for streaming on HBO Max the following day.
