Adultos 2000 offers free online secondary education in Argentina

The Adultos 2000 distance learning program is offering free online secondary education to adults across Argentina. The initiative, managed by the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, allows students to obtain a high school diploma with an orientation in Social Sciences and Humanities, which holds national validity.

To participate, applicants must be at least 18 years old, have completed primary school, and have access to a computer and internet connection. The curriculum consists of 24 subjects and typically takes approximately three years to complete. Students access study materials, activities, and teacher videoconferences through a virtual campus, with exams conducted synchronously online.

In San Juan, a partnership between the provincial Ministry of Education and the City of Buenos Aires has expanded access to the program. This agreement specifically supports elite athletes and individuals with health issues that prevent in-person attendance. Additionally, those enrolling through the San Juan Ministry of Education may gain optional access to local vocational schools for in-person training.
