Adunni Ade announces the death of her mother

Nollywood actress Adunni Ade announced the death of her mother on Monday, October 19, 2026. The passing occurred on Sunday, October 18, following a prolonged illness.

In a tribute shared on Instagram, Ade expressed her submission to the will of Allah and offered prayers for her mother’s eternal rest. She noted that her mother leaves behind children, grandchildren, sisters, and other loved ones. The actress, who had previously shared updates regarding her mother’s health challenges as far back as 2019, stated that funeral arrangements will be communicated at a later date.

The announcement prompted condolences from various members of the Nigerian entertainment industry, including Yemi Solade, Sophie Alakija, Eso Dike, Damilola Oni, Rotimi Salami, and Linda Osifo.
