Advanced Education Institute to host Education Vision Summit 2026

The Advanced Education Institute will host the ‘Education Vision Summit 2026: Next Curriculum Guidelines and Future Society in 2040’ on October 22. The hybrid event aims to discuss structural reforms in school education, focusing on balancing high-quality learning with the fair inclusion of diverse student needs.

Key topics include instructional improvements in anticipation of revised curriculum guidelines, the integration of ICT and generative AI in classrooms, and the visualization and evaluation of non-cognitive skills. The program features speakers from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, local superintendents, researchers, and practitioners.

Discussions will cover practical field reforms, such as ICT utilization at Kyoto City Saikyo High School Affiliated Junior High School, and panel discussions regarding the role of non-cognitive skills in supporting the ‘Team School’ concept.
