Advantech and SiMa. ai announce new AI hardware solutions

Advantech has announced new edge AI solutions powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ-9075 processor, specifically targeting industrial-grade vision intelligence. The lineup includes the AOM-6741 SMARC module, ASR-A503/AFE-A503 robotic controllers, and the AIR-055 edge AI system. These platforms provide up to 100 TOPS of dense AI performance and can support up to 16 concurrent cameras, facilitating real-time vision reasoning for robotics, industrial automation, and smart surveillance.

Separately, SiMa. ai and AVerMedia are collaborating to showcase an integrated drone AI solution at a seminar in Taipei. This hardware solution utilizes SiMa. ai’s Modalix MLSoC and AVerMedia’s industrial-grade platform to deliver 50 TOPS of AI compute under 10W. The integration aims to reduce engineering complexity and accelerate the commercial deployment of Physical AI applications in drones by optimizing performance-per-watt and reducing development cycles.
