Advent International to acquire technology provider Vermeg

Advent International has signed an agreement to acquire Vermeg, a global provider of technological solutions for capital markets and the life and health insurance sectors. The acquisition involves purchasing stakes held by British firm Charterhouse Capital Partners and Vermeg founder Badreddine Ouali.

The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) will participate as a minority co-investor. While the company was founded in Tunisia in 1993, its headquarters are currently located in Amsterdam. The group maintains a significant operational presence in Tunisia and serves international markets including France, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Singapore, and the United States.

Badreddine Ouali will remain a shareholder and continue to play an active role in strategic priorities and client relations as Vice Chairman. The new majority shareholder intends to support the management team in accelerating investments in product development, artificial intelligence capabilities, and global client relations. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2027, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
