Adventure Time: Side Quests creators discuss new season and platform move

Showrunner Nate Cash and supervising director Victor Courtright discussed the new season of ‘Adventure Time: Side Quests’ and the franchise’s transition to Disney+ and Hulu. The creators noted that the move has allowed the brand to reach new audiences while maintaining its original creative spirit.

In the new season, the production team is experimenting with different animation styles, including a specific approach for a ‘Death Fiction’ episode. The creators also addressed character continuity, noting that they had full access to the franchise’s history to develop new characters and storylines, such as the introduction of Abrelton Danno.
