Outdoor adventurers highlight hiking and wildlife photography

Individual outdoor achievements and nature-focused stories highlight personal journeys through the landscapes of Central Europe and beyond.

Michal Greško completed a 1,700-kilometer trek along the Czech Trail, a non-commercial long-distance hiking route through Czech mountains and border regions. Greško noted the high presence of women hiking solo on the trail, observing that many travelers feel safer in the forest than in urban environments.

Jaroslav, a 91-year-old wildlife photographer and former miner, has dedicated much of his life to capturing images of animals in their natural habitats. His work includes documenting bears, wolves, and lynx in the Beskydy and Tatra mountains, as well as expeditions to Finland and Alaska. He utilizes specialized blinds to observe wildlife without disturbance, aiming to capture rare moments of predator-prey interactions.
