Advocates call for reinstatement of Lisa Havilah as Powerhouse CEO

Art Almanac and various supporters are calling on the New South Wales Government to lift the suspension of Lisa Havilah and reinstate her as Chief Executive of Powerhouse. The call comes as the opening of Powerhouse Parramatta approaches in November 2026.

Havilah has led the renewal of the Powerhouse and the development of the Parramatta site for eight years. Supporters highlight her role in championing Western Sydney’s first major NSW cultural institution. While an investigation is currently underway, Havilah has unequivocally denied all allegations and is reportedly cooperating with the process.
