Adıyaman municipality collects 240 tons of waste daily

The Adıyaman municipality is conducting extensive cleaning operations across 33 neighborhoods and the Örenli and İndere TOKİ residential areas. Municipal teams currently utilize 245 personnel and 54 vehicles to manage an average of 240 tons of household waste every day.

Cleaning activities include waste collection, street sweeping, road washing, and the disinfection of containers. Specialized teams also provide cleaning services for mosques, cemevis, and Quran courses. In areas undergoing reconstruction following the earthquake, crews are working to mitigate dust and mud caused by ongoing construction and infrastructure activities.

Mayor Abdurrahman Tutdere stated that teams work from early morning until midnight to ensure uninterrupted service. He also noted that the municipality has strengthened its own vehicle fleet by ending the practice of renting vehicles, aiming to use resources more efficiently to improve urban livability.
