Adyen appoints Nicole Olbe as President for EMEA
Adyen has appointed Nicole Olbe as President for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Olbe is scheduled to assume the role on September 1, 2026, succeeding Alexa von Bismarck.
Olbe brings over twenty years of experience in the international payments and fintech sectors, having previously held senior positions at Barclaycard and Verifone. In her new capacity, she will be responsible for regional performance, growth, and strategy, ensuring that global initiatives align with the specific needs of EMEA markets. She will continue to operate from Adyen’s London office.
Alexa von Bismarck will transition to a global role as Senior Vice President of Global Account Management, based in San Francisco. Roelant Prins, Adyen’s Chief Commercial Officer, noted that Olbe’s ability to connect local market dynamics with global commercial strategies is vital for the company’s next growth phase.
