AE Pontion Katerinis veterans to hold reunion event

A reunion event for the former players of the historic AE Pontion Katerinis is scheduled for Saturday, October 31. The initiative is led by Lazos Iakovidis, one of the club's original players, and will take place at the Strada cafe in Englezikos, near the team's former stadium.

Founded in 1977 by residents of the Nea Zoi neighborhood, AE Pontion Katerinis established a significant presence in the region and eventually across Greece. The club is noted for developing numerous players who reached professional levels, as well as notable coaches such as Stelios Doko, Giannis Giannoulis, and Christos Tsirikas.

The event will be attended by Katerini Mayor Giannis Doumos and Deputy Mayor Kostas Tsoukanis.
