AECC organizes charity runs in Vigo and Santander

The Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) is organizing charity sporting events in Vigo and Santander to support oncological research and patient services.

In Vigo, the “Vigo en Marcha contra el Cáncer” event is scheduled for October 18. Organized by the AECC in collaboration with the Vigo City Council, the event offers three modalities: a competitive 10K race, a non-competitive 5K run, and a 5K walk. The initiative aims to promote healthy lifestyles and raise funds for cancer research and psychosocial support services.

In Santander, the IX March Against Cancer will take place on September 5. The event features boxer Bruno Macho as its godfather, a choice motivated by his personal history of overcoming acute lymphoblastic leukemia as a child. The race will cover 8.9 kilometers from Gamazo to the Cabo Mayor Lighthouse, offering both walking and night trail running options.
