AEGEAN to maintain Thessaloniki–Syros flight connection through winter

AEGEAN has decided to maintain the direct flight connection between Thessaloniki and Syros through the winter season. According to the published schedule, two direct flights per week will operate every Tuesday and Friday from October 27, 2026, until January 8, 2027.

The flights are scheduled to depart Thessaloniki at 10:00, arriving in Syros at 11:15, while the return flight from Syros departs at 11:45, arriving in Thessaloniki at 13:00. The travel duration is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

This extension follows requests from the Municipality of Syros-Hermoupolis to ensure the route serves residents, professionals, students, and families beyond the peak summer period. The move is seen as a step toward establishing Syros as a year-round destination and supporting the local economy.
