Aegon Asset Management launches Australian fixed‑income offering with Strathnaver Capital

UK‑based Aegon Asset Management announced a partnership with Australian distributor Strathnaver Capital to introduce a fixed‑income investment platform in Australia. The firms will use an Australian feeder‑fund structure that links local unit trusts to Aegon’s global fixed‑income strategies, giving Australian investors access to the manager’s research‑driven active portfolios.

Adrian Hull, head of the UK client group at Aegon, said the Australian market offers a long‑term growth opportunity, and that Strathnaver’s local market knowledge and distribution capabilities are essential to the rollout. Managing director Richard Borysiewicz echoed the sentiment, noting confidence that Aegon’s expertise will be well received. Aegon, founded in 1988 and led by CEO Shawn Johnson, manages about US$382 billion in assets across fixed income, equities, real assets and multi‑asset solutions. The launch follows Royal London Asset Management’s earlier entry into the Australian market.
