AEK announces departure of Yahav Gurfinkel and match postponement

AEK has officially announced the mutual termination of its partnership with Israeli left-back Yahav Gurfinkel. The player, who joined the Larnaca-based club last January, struggled to secure a consistent role in the starting lineup due to an early hip injury and subsequent difficulty establishing rhythm. During his tenure, Gurfinkel made ten appearances, totaling 291 minutes across all competitions, including notable Conference League matches against Crystal Palace. Maccabi Haifa is reportedly interested in acquiring the player.

Separately, AEK coach Marko Nikolic stated that the club will request a postponement of its upcoming match against Atromitos due to Champions League commitments. Additionally, concerns have been raised regarding player Barnabas Varga following an injury sustained during a recent match against Panserraikos.
