AEK Athens coach Nikolic faces selection dilemmas

AEK Athens head coach Marko Nikolic faces three primary tactical dilemmas ahead of the upcoming match against Levadiakos.

The first issue concerns the goalkeeper position. While Alberto Brignoli has been the regular starter due to Thomas Strakosha’s injury, the Albanian international goalkeeper has returned to fitness and is available for selection. Nikolic still considers Strakosha his primary choice.

The second dilemma involves finding a replacement for the suspended Lazaros Rota. Options include Miyat Gatcinovic, who offers more offensive capability, or Martin Georgiev, who is currently fresher following recent matches.

Finally, the coach must decide on the attacking lineup. Abu Koita, who would typically start, is facing selection uncertainty following a high-intensity performance and a red card in the recent match against Real Madrid.
