AEK Athens nears 100 matches at Allwyn Arena
AEK Athens is approaching a significant milestone at its home ground, the Allwyn Arena, in Nea Filadelfeia. The club is nearing its 100th official match at the stadium, a landmark that will coincide with a Champions League League Phase fixture against Real Madrid on November 4.
Since returning to Nea Filadelfeia four years ago, the team has maintained a dominant record. In the current season, AEK has recorded six home matches across domestic and European competitions, resulting in an impressive goal difference of 25-1. Following a recent victory against OFI, the club has reached 98 official matches at the arena, with a record of 72 wins, 15 draws, and 11 losses.
As the team prepares for upcoming European challenges, including matches against Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester City, they also face a domestic test against Panetolikos. A victory in that match would allow the club to extend its unbeaten streak in the Super League for nearly a year.
