AEK Athens prepares for Champions League matches in England

AEK Athens is preparing for a demanding schedule in the Champions League League Phase, highlighted by two consecutive away matches in England. The team will first face Shakhtar Donetsk at Stamford Bridge on October 14, followed by a match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on October 20.

Fan interest for these fixtures is exceptionally high. Over 9,000 tickets have already been distributed to supporters, with approximately 6,000 sold for the Shakhtar Donetsk match and 3,000 for the Manchester City game sold within a single hour. AEK is working to secure additional tickets to accommodate the high demand from both Greek and international supporters.

This period marks the beginning of a dense competitive stretch for manager Marco Nikolić. Following the international break, the club faces a rigorous calendar through the end of the year, including domestic league matches, cup obligations, and high-profile European fixtures against opponents such as Real Madrid and Galatasaray.
